LUMA MATTE TRANSITION
you can see that we have some variation here of course you can go in here and add a little bit of curves but we'll do that later just go to the main comp here and we're going to drag our luma matte transition in here right now we want everything that's wise to actually be not visible because I understand normally everything that's white is going to be visibly invisible and everything as black is not going to be visible if we set this at the luma matte you can see what I mean right here we don't have the actress and she appears with the animation when it turns white we actually wanted to be inverted so that she is on screen and then G dissin disappears because of this effect.
CC AND CURVES
so now we get something like this and is this looking great okay so what I will do now is click on my luma matte here and go to effect color correction curves and here I'm going to add like more contrast do my scenes something like this I'm actually playing around with everything like that and actually I imported the wrong mat here so I'm going to the project manager click on my transition luma key this is what you want hold alt and drag it on top of your luma matte transition just make sure it's also selected at first it's like this one and this one hold alt and drag it over there and now we have found the correct file here okay.
GUSSAIN BLUR AND LENS BLUR
so there we go now we can play around with the contrasts a little bit so pick something that you like and now we have a nice and the superior well she is disappearing with this nice grunge effect to it so this is looking great what I will do here is click on this green screen footage and actually and before we do that click on the transition itself and go to effect blur and sharpen and add a Gaussian blur if you are working with older versions of After Effects it's possible that you might need to use a phase blur it's actually really the same they just decided to change it to gaussian blur' instead of fast but yeah let them do their job and we'll concentrate on finishing this project so right here I added a little bit of blur to fix a little bit of the issues there click on the green screen footage you go to effect and go to generate and add a fill to it here free fill.
3D FEEL
I'm going to change it to really dark or I'm kind of brown core like so and this is going to be like the 3d feel of our body so we actually want the body to disappear but we also want to have like a glimpse of the inside of the body and this is the back layer of that so we are going to select both of these layers and press I'll hold ctrl and press D on the keyboard due to didn't to duplicate these I'm also going to change the color to something different so we actually see visually which layers belong together for the green screen footage and will delete the fill right here and right now you can actually offset this a little bit the way you want it I really want to offset the last one so you actually and get some delay in here and you're going to see some kind of brown parts before.
NOISE AND GRAIN
she leaves so right here we are getting a 3d feel and we can also go in this one and maybe add a lot more contrast it's completely up to you and then of course you don't need it to exaggerate that much you can also add a little bit more here and now you get something like this of course and my original layer I added ad noiser as you can see the footage is going to be very noisy you can fix that maybe in the green screen right here so lowering this 260 might help not sure but I actually added ad noiser so you should do that as well if you have the chance because not sure if After Effects comes with one it does have the denoiser but I don't think it's that good something I'm going to apply it go to effect and noise and grain and remove noise right here remove grain and do it to final output just put this bullet well above everything and this should solve that problem.
SKELETON
okay so it's a little bit better but you have plugins that do this and you're doing a better job okay so this isn't actually the part of the tutorial I'm going to delete this because it's going to make my footage going and going slower some great to preview it like this now you can see disappearing right here so now what we want to do is add the skeleton to it so to be inside of the body so what we'll do is go to the project file and go for the skeleton and add it to a new composition and then right here what I will do is actually mascot this part here the top part and then I'm going to also click on my pen tool here and also draw out the the arms right here so we don't actually need these there we go and then subtract this from the image we get something like this click on the image and go to layer precompose and we're going to rename this move all the attributes to skeleton and click OK and then I'm going to play around with this a little bit more click on the skeleton go to effect and go for well actually.
COMPOSITION SETTING
I'm going to right click composition settings skeleton calm okay and then go to effect keying right here and we're going to click on the extract key and now what we want to do is actually just drug click on the white part here and just drag this in until you see something like this and actually I want to copy this effect I'm going to cut it so hold control press X on the keyboard I want to open up this composition I want to place it on here so we don't need it in this composition we need this composition to be as clean as possible go back into this composition and maybe delete a little bit more right here so we can see that we don't have anything in the frame click on the skeleton and now we're going to add a chalk that Joker and matte Joker and apply this to the solid layer well to decomposition right here .
DRAG A LAYER
we get something like this looking great and go back to the main comm go to the project manager we're going to add the skeleton right here now what we want to do is actually um we were going to Solo in this part here and I'm going to set the track matte at no track map and go for a skeleton also solid s and we want the skeleton to actually resemble the motion of of our actress right here so I'm going to drag this around make it bigger and yeah just position it like right over here I think this will be fine I'm not sure if the head will be bigger or not and but we'll see how this is going to work now I'm going to click here on the puppet tool right here it's a puppet pin and I'll click on the pins right here so I will create a few new pins let's see what we can do so right here.
MOVED FROM ANOTHER PLACE
I want everything to be moved and that way you can actually make it fit the same motion and automatically it's going to create keyframes so you don't have to worry about that go a little bit back into time maybe position it right over here actually right here it's not that important and then the end we're going to move this all the way right over here and of course this doesn't look too good right now okay so we had a little mistake in the keyframes just like both of these if you ever have like a glitch or anything that you don't really understand just click on your keyframes go to interpolation and just change this to linearize I have a linear and that's going to solve that problem like right now it was actually doing more animation and it wasn't necessary to do so right now we get something like this and I think that we really have what we need for this effect.
TEXT ANIMATION EFFECT
I will close this down then so although these two layers and I'm going to set this back to luma inverted math and then for the skeleton actually I also want it to be right here because currently we have a gap here so that's actually not what we need and going to my key frames and move them right here click on my pivot tool and drag it back here so it's actually fitting the view here I'm also going to jump into my luma matte transition here and I'm also going to offset my white solid here so we actually get the effect while she is falling down okay and there we go this is what I was actually looking for and right here I want to offset this body part a little bit more towards the back okay really cool and I wanted to be disappeared right here so I will jump into my luma math transition press you on the keyboard and actually I want to tuck this in here you can go back and let's see our animation.
DISAPPEARING
okay so this is disappearing right here so this is kind of what I'm actually looking for so I'm going to close down my aluminum my skeleton right here I'm going to duplicate the transition luma key I'm going to put this below my on top of my skeleton actually make it visible for now right here I have my transition know we have one problem right here it's black right here it's white I want it to be black on both sides and just white in the center to do that click on the transition right here go to effect go to color correction and color Rama and right here we can do some really cool stuff we can go into the output cycle and change this to a ramp in gray and now we can drag our white to the bottom right here.
SKELETON SETTING
we're going to get a result like this now you can of course add more white to actually just like a white point right over here and play with it like this and this can give you a little bit more white to play with but now if we're going to set our skeleton here to illuminate we're going to see our skeleton just for a portion of the time so right here it's like a 3d layer that is also moving along with the same animation of course I will go to the luma key here and I'm going to add some blur so I'm going blur sharpen god--and blur and maybe set is at 30 or maybe 15 I'm also going to add a curve set color correction curves and add more curves to it and there we go and also for the skeleton.
ADD A COPY CURVES
I'm going to add a curves right here and I'm going to make it darker so we have a nice dark skeleton also color correction tends to make it more black and white and just lower the percentage here so we get a clean look like this also go for a sharpen image of unsharp mask and increase it right here duplicate that and sharp mask and maybe set it to 25 and set this at 50 and we get a more popping effect for the skeleton and now we're getting something like this here let's preview this for now well make is a pre-comp layer precompose and a skeleton transition and i'm going to add an effect called keying key extract again and now we're going to extract some of the blacks and now we're going to get more of a neutral transition okay I thought the new blacks were yeah too obvious okay so now let's do a preview and full resolution okay.
TIPS FOR BEGGINERS
so this is a pretty cool result what I will do it for this skeleton was actually going for hue and saturation and I want to change my yellow to be more kind of brown so I'm going to make it darker right here maybe adolescent actually I still want it to be quite obvious so maybe we can make it more wide and play around with different settings we could but I just thought it was a little bit too yellow Begginers
